Emily Pruet, OTR
Emily Pruet is a board certified Occupational Therapist who received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2019. Upon graduating from OT school, she received the Student Scholarship and Educational Excellence Award. In 2018, Emily participated in a global education trip to Nicaragua where she had the opportunity to provide occupational therapy services to children and adults with hand and upper extremity conditions. She also presented her research on the use mirror therapy in treating hand injuries at the 2018 Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association Annual Meeting. Emily was drawn to hand therapy after she injured her hand playing flag football in high school. She enjoys hand therapy because it is challenging - requiring detailed knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures and finds it rewarding to be able to help people regain their independence by restoring the use of their hand. She plans to pursue CHT certification in the future. Emily is a Maryland native and enjoys running, rooting for the Baltimore Ravens, and spending time with her friends and family.
