Loren Szmiga DPT MTC PA
Dr. Loren Szmiga graduated from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor in Exercise Science in 2001. While in undergraduate school, she worked as a physical therapy tech in an outpatient orthopedic clinic and gained clinical experience. It was during this time that she knew she would aspire to become a physical therapist. She completed her Physical Therapy Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine in 2004.
The University of St. Augustine training specializes in orthopedics, manual therapy, and spine assessment and treatment. Currently she works in our outpatient orthopedic clinic in Boca Raton. Loren has also been teaching physical therapy students for the University of St. Augustine Flex program for four semesters. She earned her Manual Therapy Certification in 2006 through the University of St. Augustine and is also a Pilates Certified Instructor.
Dr. Szmiga has always been interested in health and fitness and it has continually been a priority in her life. She enjoys teaching others about the principles and benefits of fitness and movement, which are very important to her. She strives to influence and educate others about important topics that relate to everyday aspects of life. This knowledge will make a difference in teaching people how to move, experience their excitement and hopes, and have fun while doing it.
Dr. Szmiga is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. She is married to her husband Dave, who is a physical therapist as well. She has a Siberian husky dog. In her free time, she enjoys working out, Pilates, movies, traveling, spending time with family, friends, and pets.
